Responsibilities

Prepare and cook fish, chips, and other menu items following established recipes and food safety standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and functioning properly
Serve customers efficiently at the counter or in a takeaway setting, providing friendly and attentive service
Upsell additional items such as sauces, drinks, or sides to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
Manage food inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations
Follow all food safety protocols and hygiene regulations diligently to guarantee quality and safety
Assist with basic math calculations for order totals, portion sizes, and cash handling when necessary

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly desirable
Knowledge of food preparation techniques specific to fish and chips or similar cuisine is a plus
Experience in serving customers with a friendly and professional attitude
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing inventory levels
Kitchen experience that demonstrates efficiency in fast-paced settings is advantageous
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods

Pay: £12.73-£14.00 per hour
