Job Description- Teaching Assistant EYFS

Job title: Teaching Assistant

Salary: NJC Grade 3 £24,796-£25,185 ( pro rata £18,764 - £19,059)

Hours: 32.5 hours per week term time (plus Inset days)

Contract type: Temporary

Reporting to: The Headteacher and Governing Body

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Slindon Church of England Primary School. We are looking to employ a Teaching Assistant to work with staff as part of a professional team to support teaching and learning. We are particularly looking for someone with a passion for supporting children in EYFS and KS1, and enabling them to thrive in our school environment.

This is a temporary post until July 2027.

Hours are 8.30am-15:30pm, Monday to Friday, to include playtime supervision.

Our ideal candidate would be:

  • Able to support the Christian ethos of our school;
  • Enjoys working outside;
  • Able to work as part of a small team.

We are a small, rural primary school nestled in the South Downs National Park, set within the National Trust village of Slindon, near Arundel. We are a Church of England School and are proud of our Christian Distinctiveness, having strong links with both St Mary’s Church in Slindon and with the wider community. We are an inclusive and caring school, judged by Ofsted as ‘Good’ in October 2024.
