We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our committed team at a friendly and inclusive primary school in Croydon. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with pupils and teaching staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support class teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences
- Assist with the planning and preparation of classroom activities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs
- Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe, inclusive environment
- Contribute to assessment and record-keeping
- Support pupils' social and emotional development
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
- A positive, proactive, and nurturing approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; a relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
