Education Recruitment Consultant

Location: Barnsley

Salary: Competitive basic + uncapped commission

About the Role

We’re looking for a driven and personable Education Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team. This is a full 360° role where you’ll build strong relationships with schools and education professionals, match outstanding talent to the right opportunities, and play a key part in expanding our presence in the education sector.

Whether you’re an experienced education recruiter or a general recruiter looking to specialise, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop a long‑term, rewarding desk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with primary, secondary and SEND schools
  • Source, screen and interview education professionals (teachers, TAs, support staff)
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle from vacancy briefing through to placement
  • Win new business and grow existing accounts
  • Ensure full compliance with education safeguarding and regulatory requirements
  • Hit and exceed agreed sales and KPIs
  • Provide a high‑quality, professional service to both candidates and clients

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven recruitment experience (education preferred, but not essential)
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Commercially minded with a proactive approach to business development
  • Organised, resilient and target‑driven
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and compliance in education (or willingness to learn)
  • A team player with ambition to progress
