KITCHEN PORTER & RESTAURANT CLEANER – COMBINED ROLE
Villa di Geggiano is an elegant Tuscan restaurant located at 66–68 Chiswick High Road, London W4 1SY. Recognised by Tatler as one of London’s best Italian restaurants, we pride ourselves on excellent food, exceptional hospitality and the highest standards of cleanliness.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and organised individual to join our team in a combined Kitchen Porter and Restaurant Cleaner role.
Please note that this is a dual position involving both kitchen porter duties and general cleaning of the restaurant. Applicants must be comfortable carrying out all aspects of both roles.
Your responsibilities will include:
Kitchen porter duties:
- Washing plates, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
- Keeping the pot-wash and kitchen areas clean and organised
- Supporting the chefs with basic tasks when required
- Removing rubbish and correctly separating waste and recycling
- Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors
- Ensuring cleaning supplies are properly stocked
- Following all food hygiene and health and safety procedures
Restaurant cleaning duties:
- Cleaning the dining room, bar and private dining areas
- Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors
- Cleaning and sanitising guest and staff toilets
- Dusting and wiping furniture, fixtures and surfaces
- Cleaning glass, mirrors and other visible areas
- Preparing the restaurant to a high standard before service
- Completing scheduled deep-cleaning tasks when required
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or restaurant cleaner is preferred
- A strong understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards
- A hardworking, reliable and punctual approach
- Good attention to detail
- The ability to work efficiently and independently
- The ability to manage physically demanding duties
- A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- The right to work in the UK
