Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives through engaging teaching methods and personalised care. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to fostering a love of learning in early years.

Position to start September 2026. An earlier start date can be offered if required.

4 days per week 7.30am until 6pm. Position is all year around.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate teaching that align with curriculum standards and promote active learning
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment where children feel valued and supported
  • Manage behaviour effectively using positive behaviour management techniques
  • Observe and assess each child's development, maintaining accurate records of progress and areas for improvement
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns
  • Organise engaging activities that support social skills, creativity, and physical development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and share best practices
  • Ensure the classroom is clean, organised, and stocked with necessary materials at all times

Requirements

  • Proven experience or qualification in early childhood education or related field (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare). QTS or EYTS preferred but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques suitable for young children
  • Excellent teaching skills with the ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs
  • Outstanding communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Passionate about early childhood development and committed to creating a positive learning environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required
