Role: Apprentice Teaching Assistant

Salary: National Apprenticeship Rate (£8 p/hour for the first year)
Contract Type: Fixed Term (duration of the apprenticeship is 18 months)
Hours: 35 hours per week, Term Time plus 2 days
Closing Date: 11am, Monday 9th November

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our fast-paced and supportive team. What You Will Be Doing
As an apprentice, you will work closely with our experienced class teachers and support staff. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Supporting Learning: Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and helping children with their reading, writing, and numeracy.
• Group Work: Leading small group activities or providing one-on-one support for pupils who need extra help.
• Classroom Prep: Helping to prepare resources, set up activities, and maintain a vibrant and tidy learning environment.
• Pupil Wellbeing: Promoting positive behaviour, supervising children during break times, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for all students.

About You
You don’t need prior experience in a school, but you do need the right attitude! We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate: Has a genuine interest in working with children and supporting their development.
• Energetic & Resilient: Thrives in a busy, ever-changing environment and can think on their feet.
• A Team Player: Communicates well and enjoys collaborating with others.
• Eager to Learn: Committed to completing the apprenticeship coursework and taking on feedback.
• Qualified: Holds at least a Grade 4/C (or equivalent) in GCSE English and Maths.
