The Role

As a Primary School Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils both academically and personally, helping teachers to create a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support pupils individually and in small intervention groups.
  • Work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 to facilitate learning.
  • Encourage children’s confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND, where required.
  • Help maintain a safe, positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and daily routines.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above), or equivalent
  • Experience in a UK primary school (including placements)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK

  • A positive, patient and adaptable approach
  • Good classroom awareness and behaviour management skills
