A welcoming and supportive primary school in Hillingdon is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This rewarding role will involve providing dedicated 1:1 support for a child with SEMH needs and Autism.
The school is looking for a compassionate, resilient and proactive individual who has previous experience supporting children with additional needs in a school setting.
You will play a key role in helping the pupil access learning, develop social skills and regulate emotions and behaviour throughout the school day.
Responsibilities of this Teaching Assistant role:

As part of our registration process, you'll need an enhanced DBS check and we'll need to see and copy your original qualifications before any placement. Teaching roles require Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Responsibilities of this Teaching Assistant role:
- Effectively managing behaviour both in and out of the classroom.
- Assisting with learning, emotional regulation and social development.
- Creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO.
- Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly Autism and SEMH.
- Have a calm, patient and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
- One-to-one support from a dedicated and experienced education consultant
- Free accredited safeguarding training as part of your registration
- Referral bonuses available: £150 for referring a TA/support worker, £300 for referring a teacher (T&Cs apply)
