Full job description
1-year fixed-term post based at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative simulation team within Medical Education. The postholder will support the multi-professional simulation programme, contributing to the delivery of high-quality education and training to improve patient care, outcomes and safety.
This is a highly varied role involving the delivery and development of simulation-based education, working closely with clinical and education teams across the Trust. It is well suited to an ST3+ doctor interested in developing skills in education, leadership and programme delivery within a large teaching Trust.
The postholder will work with clinical teams and education leads to deliver multidisciplinary simulation across the Trust. This includes designing, delivering and evaluating educational interventions to improve understanding of patient safety, including learning from serious incidents and never events. The role will support the development and delivery of simulation programmes for resident doctors, international medical graduates, locally employed doctors, allied health professionals and nursing staff. The post contributes to wider workforce development priorities aligned with the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan and the Educator Workforce Strategy.
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is committed to delivering high-quality patient care, education and training. We are equally focused on building a supportive and inclusive team culture that reflects our values of being kind, expert, collaborative and aspirational. The simulation team is a high-performing, supportive group delivering a wide range of programmes across the Trust. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced faculty, contribute to service development, and gain hands-on experience in simulation-based education within a large and complex teaching environment. For an informal discussion regarding the post, please contact: Dr Toranj Wadia, Trust Postgraduate Simulation Lead toranj.wadia2@nhs.net
