Location: Southall, West London
Start: October
Pay: £200 - £280 per day (dependant on experience)
Contract: Full-time | Maternity Cover

Looking for a Year 1 teaching role in Southall this Autumn?

Prebook Recruitment is working with a welcoming and well-established Primary School in Southall looking to appoint a Year 1 Class Teacher from October to cover a maternity leave.

The school would ideally like to meet teachers with previous Year 1 or strong KS1 experience, although applications are also welcomed from ECTs who can demonstrate relevant experience through their teacher training placements.

This is a genuine vacancy within a supportive primary school, with the successful teacher paid in line with their appropriate teaching scale through Prebook's in-house PAYE payroll.

Year 1 Teacher – The Role

  • Full class teaching responsibility for a Year 1 class
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum
  • Supporting pupils with phonics, early reading, writing and mathematics
  • Creating a nurturing, structured and positive classroom environment
  • Supporting pupils as they continue their transition from EYFS into KS1
  • Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching where required
  • Working collaboratively with KS1 colleagues, support staff and leadership
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and families

Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
