Job Overview
We are supporting a rapidly growing automotive manufacturer in the search for a Port Technical Support to join its UK logistics and vehicle operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily vehicle processing activities at the port, including PDI, workshop and compound operations
  • Monitor and manage the performance of third-party service providers, ensuring operational, quality and productivity targets are achieved
  • Provide technical supervision and support for vehicle preparation, inspection, repair and quality-related activities
  • Act as the key liaison between Logistics, Aftersales, Quality and Technical teams to resolve operational and technical issues
  • Support investigation and escalation of vehicle quality concerns, ensuring timely root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with OEM standards, health & safety requirements and high-voltage vehicle handling procedures
  • Analyse operational and quality data to identify trends, drive continuous improvement and support business decision-making
  • Conduct regular site reviews and performance audits to improve vehicle throughput, efficiency and service quality
  • Support peak inbound and outbound vehicle operations and ensure smooth delivery of vehicles through the port network

Requirements:

  • Experience within automotive logistics, vehicle processing, port operations, PDI, workshop operations or vehicle distribution environments
  • Strong understanding of vehicle preparation, technical operations and quality processes
  • Experience managing suppliers, contractors or third-party service providers
  • Ability to analyse operational data and drive performance improvements
  • Knowledge of EV and high-voltage vehicle operations is highly desirable
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across multiple departments
