MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician (MOT Training Available) – 2 Positions Available
Stourbridge MOT & Repairs Centre – Stourbridge
Salary: £34,000 – £40,000 per year negotiable (depending on qualifications and experience)
Hours: 40 Hours per week. Saturday weekly rotation (one on, one off)
Holiday: 20 Days per year plus Bank Holidays and christmas/new year shutdown (typically 24th December to 2nd January)

Stourbridge MOT & Repairs Centre is an established independent garage that has been serving motorists across the Black Country for over 15 years. Due to continued growth and increasing workload, we are looking to recruit two additional Vehicle Technicians and/or MOT Testers to join our friendly and professional team.
We are particularly interested in hearing from qualified MOT Testers, however applications are also welcomed from experienced Vehicle Technicians who would be willing to undertake MOT Tester training and qualification.
With a team of 6 staff and over 20 vehicles passing through the workshop daily, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable business with a constant flow of work, modern equipment and a supportive team environment.
Benefits include 20 days annual leave, bank holidays, a paid Christmas/New Year shutdown and no Sunday working.
The Role
- Carrying out Class 4 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards (where qualified).
- Diagnosing faults and identifying repair requirements.
- Servicing and repairing a wide range of vehicles.
- Completing vehicle health checks and inspection reports.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- IMI Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
- At least 4 years experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
- Experience with diagnostics and electrical fault finding.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
Preferred Requirements
- Current MOT Tester qualification (preferred but not essential).
- Air conditioning certification.
