Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role is essential in creating a positive experience for all visitors and supporting the smooth operation of our front-of-house activities. ideally must be someone that is not afraid of busy periods of work.

Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
  • Handle cash and card transactions accurately while maintaining the till.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front-of-house area plus washing up.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely service delivery.
  • serving food at lunchtime
  • setting up rooms for functions

Experience

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • A team player who can also work independently when required.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings as needed but very rare ( 2 - 3 times a year)
