Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting culinary staff, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within the hospitality sector and develop valuable skills in food preparation, cleaning, and kitchen maintenance. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

  • Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Support the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to ensure a safe and tidy environment.
  • Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Restock supplies and ensure that all necessary items are available for daily operations.
  • Support the kitchen team during service periods by organising workstations and ensuring smooth workflow.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or contamination.

Skills

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential.
