Ginkgo Café, Harrogate hiring for a part time weekend front of house team member.

We’re looking for a friendly, confident and hardworking person to join our front of house team at Ginkgo.

Ginkgo is an independent neighbourhood café in Harrogate, serving seasonal brunch, speciality coffee and homemade food. Weekends are our busiest time, so we're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.

The role

You'll be working front of house during our busy weekend service, helping to create a warm and welcoming experience for our customers.

Your role will include:

• Greeting and seating customers
• Taking orders and running food
• Assisting making drinks
• Clearing and resetting tables
• Keeping the café clean, organised and well presented
• Working closely with the front of house team and communicating with kitchen team.
• Providing friendly, attentive customer service throughout service

We're looking for someone who:

• Is available to work weekends
• Preferably has previous café, restaurant or hospitality experience but not essential.
• Is confident dealing with customers and working as part of a team
• Can stay calm and organised during busy services
• Has a positive attitude and isn't afraid to get stuck in
• Takes pride in providing genuinely great customer service

Barista experience would be a bonus, but is not essential for the right person.

Hours

Part-time weekend hours, with the opportunity for additional shifts during busy periods and holidays. Must be available on weekends as this role is for 1 weekend shift a week.

Pay

Competitive hourly rate, depending on age and experience.
