Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Porter, where your energy and dedication will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our food service operation, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and support for our talented chefs. Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils to uphold hygiene standards.
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs, such as peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients.
  • Support the kitchen team by restocking supplies and ensuring all equipment is clean and operational.
  • Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to keep the kitchen environment safe and tidy.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times by following proper sanitation protocols.
  • Assist in setting up and clearing dining areas during service times to facilitate smooth restaurant operations.
  • Support the team during busy periods by performing additional cleaning or prep tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key.
  • Basic understanding of food preparation, cooking processes, and kitchen safety standards.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and organization.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards hospitality service.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting or moving supplies.
