Overhead Telecoms Engineer

Location: South & South East England

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Job Type: Full Time, Perm

As an OH and UG cabling operative, you are responsible for installing Fibre optic cables overhead on poles and in underground ducting.

You will help by:

  • Having experience working with Fibre Optics products.
  • Attending sites to carry out overhead and underground fibre cabling.
  • Working at heights and in the UG network whilst adhering to Health and Safety legislation.
  • Working as an individual and as a part of team to achieve targets and KPI’s.

You will need:

  • Hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on your licence.
  • Hold a valid NRSWA street works operative to a minimum of Unit 2.
  • Hold or have held Openreach safety, overhead and underground cabling accreditation modules.
  • Have extensive experience of working on the Openreach network.
  • Be confident with working at heights.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Have exposure to risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety practices.
