Role Description

The purpose of this role is to provide support to the Design Leads and be an integral part of the team. Aiding in the completion of essential documentation and uploading them to the clients’ tools and systems. Possessing a high level of knowledge of design process coupled with a knowledge of how sites are designed, along with the documentation that is required to fulfil our CDM responsibilities. This role within the Design department will be instrumental in ensuring the designs are to the correct standard with all associated documentation; and take full advantage of the multiple opportunities that will present themselves over the coming years.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with both internal and external clients in information gathering to support the design submission.
  • Completing ICNIRP Certificates
  • Providing technical expertise throughout the design process.
  • Liaise with internal project teams with the setting out and collaboration to ensure dependencies (such as but not limited to) trial holes and slip trenches are both correctly instructed and completed to a required standard, with results fed back to the project manager and design lead accordingly.
  • Supporting the design leads with all aspects of design documentation as required.
  • To work closely alongside the other engineering functions to provide a quality service to clients, within necessary timelines.
  • Engage a culture of ‘continuous improvement’ and embrace the safety, health, environmental and quality systems employed by Clarke Telecom.
  • Responsible for regular reporting to the Design Leads.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain or relay technical and commercial aspects of delivery projects..
  • Ensure all company processes and policies are adhered to.
  • Alignment with Clarke’s MASTS protocol Safety Awareness and compliance at all times.

The role will be driven by the demands of the Design Lead within the allocated region. The measures will be a direct sub-set of those given to the Design Lead and driven by the client.

Those measures can only made clear once those parameters have been made clear.

Some key expectations will be clearly outlined on Project Start Up.

Qualifications/Experience

Essential

  • Knowledge of Design process for Telecoms macro sites.
  • First class Health and Safety credentials
  • Experience of being part of a team over multiple locations.
  • Experience of taking innovation and successfully developing into new ways of working
  • Valid driving license

Desirable

  • Product Knowledge - Macro site vendor specific, Nokia/Ericsson
  • Additional IT skills or qualifications.
