Cable & Splicing Services (CASS) is a leading telecommunications contracting specialist business and are now looking to recruit experienced and accredited Telecoms Engineers Customer Connections Engineers for long-term work all over Worcestershire and surrounding areas, especially Gloucestershire.
We are looking for that rare breed of a Telecoms Engineer who has experience of the build of a network and can identify defects, whilst also as a Customer Connections Engineer, you will deploy fibre installation services to the customer premises via UG and OH PIA and client networks, providing a best-in-class quality of service for our clients.
You will have all the earnings potential and support you would expect from a 350 people strong business, that has been established for over 26 years. We have the clients, infrastructure and expertise to give you long-term work.

- Install fibre to the customer premises, business and residential.
- Assist the support team with troubleshooting techniques and queries.
- Work on a self-employed basis.

As a Telecoms Engineer Customer Connections the right person will…
- Have OH and UG Fibre Cabling skills ,experience and have the accreditations as a must.
- Experience in the Build of a network.
- Have a good understanding of fibre terminology and be able to communicate this effectively to customers as well as colleagues within the business.
- Be well-presented and able to demonstrate a professional image as the face of the business.
- Be able to demonstrate empathy with customers and colleagues - personable and friendly.
- Be proactive and efficient, and willing to go the extra mile for our client and customers.
- Have the willingness to work in all climates.
As a Telecoms Engineer Customer Connections you will need Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- SA001, SA002, S7, S8 or equivalent as a minimum
- IPAF 1b
- NRSWA unit 2
- K8 (Hand rodding in UG network)
- NOPS Smart Awards Card - CASS will not engage you without one
- PIA experience desirable but not essential
- Previous experience working at height from a ladder and cabling from up to 11m telegraph poles
- Experience in lone & team working and health and safety requirements that are specific to working at height
- Practical experience in a customer-facing role
- Have a current full UK manual driving license
- Clear DBS
