Full job description

PJ Staffing are an award winning recruitment business, looking for experienced chefs to join our event team across Yorkshire to support with our busy festive season across various Events and hospitality venues.

Pay rate: Starting £16+ per hour, paid weekly on Tuesdays.

The Role:
- Covering various clients and events across the region; racecourses, stadiums, hotels, live venues, restaurants, bars and festivals
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring a consistent taste and presentation.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, ensuring all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Ensure the kitchen is in an excellent, clean and hygienic condition at all times, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
- Any other duties as reasonably requested

The Candidate:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, particularly in large scale dining. Strong culinary skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude.
- Can ensure appropriate portion & quality control.
- Works safely & consciously to Food Safety Standards always.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for the food industry and commitment to providing outstanding hospitality experiences
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Hold Food Safety Level 2
- Have own chef whites and knives
