Sennen Education are recruiting for a Centre Manager

Student Services Manager (Centre Manager) – PRU Setting

Location: South Manchester

Start Date: ASAP

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced pastoral or behaviour leader to join a specialist education setting supporting young people who are unable to access mainstream education.

This role would suit an experienced Student Services Manager, Pastoral Manager, Behaviour Lead, Head of Year, Inclusion Manager, Centre Manager, SENCO, or senior SEMH professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.

You will be responsible for leading a hub of approximately 20 students, managing and developing a team of mentors, and working alongside senior leaders to ensure the highest standards of student support, engagement, attendance, behaviour and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day operational management of a student hub
  • Line manage and support a team of mentors
  • Drive student engagement, attendance and positive behaviour
  • Deliver and support SEMH interventions and restorative approaches
  • Work closely with families, external agencies and school leaders
  • Support safeguarding and welfare procedures
  • Monitor student progress and implement effective interventions
  • Contribute to reintegration planning and positive outcomes for students

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working within a PRU, alternative provision or SEMH environment
  • Strong behaviour management and student engagement skills
  • Previous line management or leadership experience
  • Knowledge of attendance, safeguarding and restorative practices
  • Excellent administration and IT skills
  • The resilience, flexibility and commitment required to support young people with complex needs
  • A genuine belief in helping students achieve positive futures

This opportunity may initially be for the remainder of the academic year but has the potential to continue into September.
