Full job description
Severn Hospice is a special place to work and we are looking for an efficient and compassionate medical secretary to join our clinical administration team at our Apley hospice on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.
Being a well-organised individual with strong word processing and type dictation skills, experience in using clinical databases and a good knowledge of medical terminology, you’ll work with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and efficient service.
Caring is at the heart of what we do and as an approachable and empathetic individual you will play a crucial role in liaising with patient, their loved ones and healthcare providers to arrange admissions, outpatient appointments and visits.
Often the main point of contact you will use your great interpersonal skills and intuition to offer warm and reassuring communications.
If you are self-motivated, caring and thrive in a highly rewarding and supportive environment within a team that works together with pride and compassion, we’d love you to get in touch.
