Full job description

We have large parking projects in the Borough of Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and we need to strengthen our pool of parking surveyors.

We are currently looking for additional staff between Saturday 12th September and Wednesday 23rd September (dates inclusive) to work on the Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in this period.

Staff are required as follows:

  • Between Saturday 12th September and Wednesday 23rd September (dates inclusive)
  • Saturdays and Sundays (10:30am to 4.30pm); Tuesdays and Wednesdays (1.30pm to 4.30pm)
  • Based in Westminster and Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
  • Weekend shifts are each paid at £88.80 (six hours). The Weekday Shifts are each paid at £59.20 (four hours).

About Us

MHTC Ltd is a specialist traffic and transport data collection company. We carry out different types of traffic and travel survey across the UK. We carry out parking surveys in order to understand where people park and how easy it is to find a parking space.

Job Description

The successful Parking Surveyor will:

  • walk along streets in a defined area and count the number of parked vehicles within each street;
  • use a tablet computer to record the information collected;
  • work alongside our supervisors;
  • be available to work most of the shifts.

The Successful Applicant

The successful parking surveyor is not geographically or technically challenged and he or she likes to walk.

You need to know how to read a map (know where you are and what side of the road is which). You do need to be methodical, committed to collecting accurate data and be punctual. You need to like walking and be fit enough to be on your feet and walk for two-hour periods. You need to be able to get to and from the survey locations. If you like the work, there is the possibility to continue after this period.

What's on Offer

We pay £88.80 at weekends (six hours) and £59.20 for the afternoon shifts on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (four hours).We pay staff by BACS transfer on a fortnightly basis. There is scope to continue working on this project after the end of this period.
