Experienced applicants may have a background in:

  • Mechanical assembly or fitting.
  • Engineering or manufacturing.
  • Machine building.
  • Production assembly.
  • Maintenance or mechanical repair.
  • Working from mechanical drawings.

Alternatively, candidates without formal mechanical fitting experience will be considered if they can demonstrate:

  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Confidence using basic hand tools.
  • A practical, hands-on approach.
  • An interest in engineering, mechanics or manufacturing.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • A willingness to learn and undertake training.
  • Reliability and a positive attitude towards work.

Previous experience working from mechanical drawings would be advantageous; however, training can be provided for candidates who demonstrate the right practical ability and willingness to learn.
