Catering Assistant

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Catering Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the delivery of an efficient, high-quality catering service, ensuring exceptional customer experiences at all times. Working closely with colleagues and clients, you will help maintain outstanding food service standards, promote a positive team culture, and contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Delivering excellent customer service and creating positive experiences for customers and clients.
  • Assisting with hospitality set-up, catering mise en place, and stock management.
  • Ensuring food displays, service areas, and workstations are clean, fully stocked, and maintained to a high standard.
  • Minimising food waste, monitoring stock quality, and maintaining accurate temperature and safety records.
  • Working collaboratively with catering and chef teams to deliver food programmes and promotions.
  • Responding professionally to customer requests, feedback, and complaints
  • Attending training sessions and meetings to maintain knowledge and compliance standards.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a catering or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of catering mise en place and hospitality preparation.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety, and stock control procedures.
  • The ability to follow procedures, use equipment safely, and maintain accurate records.
