We are seeking a friendly and proactive Retail Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer service by greeting and assisting shoppers with their enquiries
• Organising and replenishing stock on shelves, ensuring products are well-presented and accessible
• Supporting merchandising efforts to promote seasonal and promotional displays
• Offering advice on gardening and horticulture products to customers, sharing knowledge where appropriate
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the store environment
• Operating point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently during transactions
• Assisting with stock deliveries and inventory management
• Communicating effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus
• Organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management and store presentation
• Knowledge of gardening and horticulture is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
• Previous retail experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential
• Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
• Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
