Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Tesco Customer Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing outstanding service, maintaining store presentation, and supporting sales initiatives. Fluency in multiple languages, including English and Spanish, is highly desirable to assist our diverse customer base. Previous experience in merchandising, communication skills, and organisational abilities will be advantageous.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
• Operate tills efficiently, ensuring accurate transactions and friendly phone etiquette
• Restock shelves and organise merchandise to maintain an attractive store appearance
• Upsell products where appropriate to enhance customer experience and sales
• Provide product information and answer customer queries confidently
• Support stock rotation and inventory management tasks
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the store
• Manage time effectively to ensure all duties are completed within scheduled shifts

Qualifications

• Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse customers
• Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
• Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Time management abilities to prioritise duties during busy periods
• Excellent phone etiquette when dealing with customer enquiries via phone or email
• Experience in merchandising or retail is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £24,420.00-£39,559.69 per year
