The Role

The Customer Delivery & Events Lead will have the opportunity to support all special events & rail replacement customer delivery processes on behalf of Transport for Wales, providing expertise in event delivery and advice to all areas of the business.


Role responsibilities

  • Review and refine the Special Events Delivery and Management Framework, ensuring the continual improvement of all events and activities & opportunities prioritised.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure events, rail replacement and customer support plans are carefully mapped, meticulously planned and all stakeholders are clear of expectations in role.
  • Ensure communication materials for internal and external audiences are readily available and provide a seamless customer experience.
  • Support with the maintenance of the Special Event and Rail Replacement calendar, which clearly maps out where additional resource, wayfinding and communications are required.

Who we're looking for

Essential

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Influencing and negotiation skills to obtain the best outcome from suppliers, internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in building strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders skills
  • Experience of working in a customer / event environment.

Desirable

  • Experience writing comprehensive reports
  • Good understanding of railway operations plans and reports
  • Good understanding of Continuous Improvement principles
  • Process mapping and process improvement
  • Experience in leading workshops, defining action plans and tracking through to completion

Welsh Language Skills

While not essential for this role, Welsh language skills would make a great addition to your application.
