Overview

Join our vibrant Thai restaurant team as a Wok and Starter Chef, where your culinary skills will bring authentic flavors to life! In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the heart of the kitchen, preparing delicious starters and expertly cooking dishes using traditional wok techniques. Your passion for food preparation and commitment to food safety will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. We’re looking for energetic and dedicated individuals eager to showcase their culinary talent in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Thai starters and wok dishes with precision and flair
  • Ensure all food preparation meets high standards of quality, presentation, and safety
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in accordance with food safety regulations
  • Assist in meal preparation during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of orders
  • Follow recipes and portion controls accurately to maintain consistency in dishes
  • Support the team by serving dishes promptly and professionally to customers when needed
  • Contribute to a positive kitchen environment by collaborating effectively with team members

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar kitchen role within a restaurant setting
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, especially wok cooking and Thai cuisine basics
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling of ingredients
  • Experience in meal preparation and serving in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in kitchen work
  • A genuine passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional customer service is highly valued

Pay: £16.00-£17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 per week
