Part-Time Food Runner / Kitchen Porter – Patara Wimbledon

About us
Since opening in 1990, PATARA has been redefining Thai dining in London, with beautiful presentation and authentic Thai food, both traditional and contemporary. We now have five restaurants across the city (Soho, Oxford Circus, South Kensington, Knightsbridge and Wimbledon), and we're proud of the warm, elevated dining experience our guests come back for.

About the role
We'd love to welcome a friendly, hardworking and positive food runner / kitchen porter to our Wimbledon team. You'll help get our dishes to guests with a smile, and keep the kitchen clean, tidy and running smoothly behind the scenes. If you enjoy the buzz of a busy restaurant, take pride in what you do and like being part of a close, supportive team, you'll fit right in.

Location: Wimbledon
Job type: Part-time, Tuesday to Friday, dinner service
Pay: £12.75 to £13.75 per hour (including service charge)

What you'll be doing

  • Bringing dishes to tables with care and a friendly smile
  • Supporting our front-of-house and kitchen teams so service flows smoothly
  • Keeping the kitchen, equipment, crockery and utensils clean and organised
  • Washing dishes and making sure the pass and kitchen always have what they need
  • Helping with deliveries, simple prep and other kitchen tasks when needed
  • Following food hygiene and health and safety standards

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is a plus, but a great attitude matters most
  • Reliable, punctual and happy to work at a lively pace
  • A warm, positive personality with good communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable being on your feet for a full shift and doing some light lifting
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety (we can train you)
  • Right to work in the UK
