Company Overview
Warrington Primary Academy Trust (WPAT) is a growing and ambitious multi-academy trust serving schools and education providers across the North West. Alongside our family of schools, we lead a number of regional training and development programmes funded by the Department for Education.
We are proud to host the newly designated Generate Early Years Stronger Practice Hub, supporting early years providers across Halton, Warrington, Cheshire East, and Cheshire West and Chester. We also deliver nationally recognised professional development programmes through our established Teaching School Hub, Reception Network and RISE Attendance and Behaviour Hub services.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated projects team and play a key role in delivering high-quality professional development and support to thousands of educators each year.
Overview
We are seeking an organised, proactive and highly effective Project Manager to coordinate the delivery of professional development programmes, events, communications and engagement activity across our growing education services.
Working closely with senior leaders, programme specialists and external partners, you will ensure that projects remain on track, milestones are achieved and stakeholders receive a consistently high-quality experience. You will oversee delivery plans, communications, reporting, events and operational processes, while maintaining clear oversight of risks, priorities and performance.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys managing multiple workstreams, building strong relationships and bringing structure and organisation to complex programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and monitor professional development programmes, events, networks and engagement activities.
- Maintain project plans, action trackers, risk logs and performance reporting.
- Coordinate conferences, training events, webinars, open days and stakeholder meetings.
- Manage communications, marketing activity, newsletters and provider engagement.
- Act as a key operational contact for schools, early years settings, local authorities, Department for Education representatives and partners.
- Track participation, attendance, feedback, outcomes and KPI performance.
- Prepare reports, dashboards and updates for senior leaders, governance groups and funding bodies.
- Support financial monitoring, contract administration and evidence collection for funded programmes.
- Ensure delivery remains compliant with funding requirements, safeguarding expectations and organisational policies.
- Line manage and support an Administrator, ensuring efficient and reliable operational delivery.
- Identify risks, resolve operational issues and escalate concerns appropriately.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Experience of project, programme or operational management.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience of coordinating events, training programmes or professional development activities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong Microsoft 365 and digital skills.
- Experience of reporting against targets, milestones or performance indicators.
- Confidence working independently whilst managing competing deadlines.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality and professional integrity.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within education, early years, public sector or not-for-profit environments.
- Experience managing grant-funded projects.
- Experience of line management.
- Experience producing reports, analysing data and using management information systems.
- Knowledge of schools, early years settings or educational improvement programmes.
Why Join Us?
- Opportunity to help shape and deliver a brand-new Early Years Stronger Practice Hub.
- Work within a growing organisation making a significant impact on children and young people's outcomes.
- Join a collaborative and supportive team of education professionals.
- Flexible hybrid working arrangements.
- Local government pension scheme (for employees).
- Access to professional development opportunities.
- Be part of programmes reaching over 2,000 educators annually across the region.
Contract Details
- Grade 8 (£39,152 to £42,839 pro rata) or equivalent day rate
- 29.6 hours per week (0.8 FTE, 4 days per week)
- Fixed term until 28 March 2028, with potential extension subject to funding.
- Based at Kingsway Primary School, Halton, with remote working options; travel across the region as required.
Safeguarding
Warrington Primary Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All appointments are subject to safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
