Job Summary
We're looking for an experienced and passionate Catering Manager to lead our team and take ownership of the day-to-day running of our coffee shop and other catering commitments like light lunches. You'll be at the heartbeat of the operation, setting the standard for great products, great service, and a team that loves coming to work.

Duties

  • Oversee daily operations including opening and closing procedures, staffing, and service standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and ensure full compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of catering staff
  • Manage rotas, shift cover, and staff performance
  • Monitor and control stock levels and agreed profit margins, place cost assessed supplier orders, and minimise & record waste Handle cash management, daily reconciliation, and basic financial reporting
  • Resolve customer complaints professionally and ensure consistently high satisfaction
  • Drive sales performance and identify opportunities to grow revenue
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and growth of team members

Skills

  • At least a Level 3 food and hygiene qualification. Therefore, a working knowledge of HACCP legislation, food safety management, allergen control, etc.
  • Proven experience in a café, coffee shop, or hospitality management role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team
  • Experience managing budgets, stock, and supplier relationships
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexibly including early mornings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Familiarity with payment systems and basic reporting
