Support Worker (Day Centre)

Location: Inverurie
Hourly Rate: £13.45
Hours: 30 (4 days out of 5)

About the Role

In our Inverurie Day Centre, Support Workers help individuals with a wide range of needs to lead enriched an Our service is open to the whole community so you will be dealing with members of the public, families of supported individuals and professionals so good communication skills are essential. d independent lives.   • Providing personal care where required (full training provided)

  • Supporting with integration into the local community
  • Encouraging and enabling participation in social activities such as parties, bingo, and community events
  • Promoting independence and helping individuals achieve their personal goals
  • general housekeeping duties

Who We Support

The people we support in Inverurie have varied support needs.

Some individuals may display challenging behaviour, including verbal or physical incidents and self-injurious behaviour.

Experience in this area, particularly with de-escalation techniques and Positive Behaviour Support Plans, is highly desirable.

Full training is provided.

Shifts and Flexibility

The Day Centre operates Monday through Friday, between 8.00 am and 4.00 pm.

The applicant will normally be expected to work 4 days out of 5.

Relief cover may be required on short notice, so we are looking for individuals who are flexible with working hours.
