Full job description

We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Commis Chef to join the kitchen team at the Craigmonie Hotel.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in hospitality and gain hands-on kitchen experience while learning from an experienced team.

The Role

This is a varied position combining:

  • Assisting chefs with food preparation
  • Learning kitchen operations and cooking techniques on the job
  • Supporting the team during busy service periods
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

Responsibilities

  • Keeping kitchen and storage areas clean and organised
  • Assisting chefs with food preparation and service
  • Helping with deliveries and stock rotation
  • Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
  • Working as part of a fast-paced team environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous kitchen experience is desired — training will be provided
