About the Role

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are seeking a skilled and motivated Band 6 or Band 7 Podiatrist to join its dedicated team based at Churchill Hospital at the Diabetes Podiatry department.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician who is passionate about delivering high-quality podiatric care and improving patient mobility, independence, and overall quality of life. You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary environment, providing specialist assessment and treatment for patients with a range of complex foot health needs.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred podiatry care while working in partnership with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Communicate complex or sensitive foot health information clearly and empathetically to patients and service users.
• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with complex foot conditions, ensuring safe and effective clinical management.
• Identify local service needs, prioritise care effectively, and support the management of service demand and capacity.

What We’re Looking For

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A BSc in Podiatry or equivalent qualification (such as a Diploma in Podiatric Medicine or an overseas qualification with equivalent experience)
• Current HCPC registration, including local anaesthetic annotation
• Evidence of continued professional development (CPD) in wound care and/or diabetes.
• Experience in the assessment and management of diabetic foot ulceration.
• Competence in sharp debridement of simple and complex wounds within scope of practice.
• Competence in comprehensive vascular and neurological assessment of active diabetic foot disease, including identification and diagnosis of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and peripheral sensory neuropathy.
