Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our bar. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, maintaining food safety standards, and managing the overall organisation of the bar area. Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environments is highly desirable. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage bar staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards by engaging with guests and resolving any issues promptly
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and uphold hygiene standards across all areas of operation
  • Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control inventory to minimise waste
  • Develop innovative drink menus and promotional events to attract new customers and retain existing clientele
  • Monitor financial performance, including sales tracking and cost control measures
  • Lead by example in hospitality excellence, demonstrating leadership in serving guests and supervising team members

Experience

  • Proven supervisory experience within a bar, restaurant or hospitality settings
  • Experience in managing team members effectively within fast-paced environment.
  • Barista or serving experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment
