Oplu is leading the search for a Guest Relations Executive to join the Front of House team at a distinguished luxury country hotel and retreat in West Dorset.

The property is a boutique luxury country hotel and retreat blending hospitality with farming, vineyard, and wellness operations. It offers guests a highly personalised experience across accommodation, food and beverage, spa, and event programming.

The Guest Relations Executive sits at the centre of the guest journey and covers Reception, Marketing, Hospitality, and event coordination. The successful candidate will lead the daily morning meeting, coordinate VIP and Media / PR trips, manage guest profiles in Mews, and act as the guest's primary point of contact from arrival through to post-departure follow-up.

Staff accommodation is available in nearby Bridport for candidates relocating (£450-£750 per month depending on room). A full driving licence and own car are essential given the rural setting.

Responsibilities

- Warm, personalised guest arrival, check-in, orientation, and departure
- Manage guest profiles, preferences, and special dates in Mews with annual follow-up
- Lead the daily morning meeting; brief all departments on arrivals and preferences
- Handle complaints, incidents, and feedback with discretion and empathy
- Coordinate VIP, repeat, and special-occasion stays with bespoke welcome experiences
- Take on-the-day ownership of Media, PR, and Familiarisation trips
- Support on-site restaurant and bar service and stock control via POS
- Plan and deliver children's activity programmes and seasonal events
- Support the development of packages and seasonal programming
- Maintain the Guest Relations and F&B service areas to a high standard
- Manage direct and online travel agent bookings and payments in line with Financial Procedures
- Report and coordinate repair and maintenance issues promptly
- Manage guest data in line with GDPR and property SOPs

Requirements

- Prior experience in a boutique or luxury hotel, country house, private members' club, or comparable property
- Fluency with a hotel PMS (Mews strongly preferred), POS, and digital booking platforms
- Excellent guest-facing communication with warmth and personal presentation
- Basic Food Hygiene, HACCP, Manual Lifting, First Aid at Work, Fire Safety, Personal Alcohol Licence (or willingness to complete before start)
- Full driving licence and own car
- Flexible shift pattern including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable working outside as required
- Focus, initiative, and creative problem-solving
- Fluent English
- Right to live and work in the UK
