Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Bar Person to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving drinks, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an engaging environment where you can develop your hospitality skills whilst contributing to a memorable guest experience. Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. A positive attitude, good organisational skills, and a passion for service are essential to thrive in this role.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food in accordance with company standards.
  • Greet customers warmly and take drink and food orders efficiently.
  • Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and well-stocked at all times.
  • Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including specials and promotions.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Assist in setting up and closing down the bar area at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests professionally and courteously.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery.
  • Support team members as needed to ensure smooth operation of the venue.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality, food safety, or serving roles is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Good basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards relevant to the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards of service.
  • Experience working in a restaurant or bar environment is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Proven time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy shifts.
  • Expected to work over 7 days/evenings and weekends christmas and bank Holidays
