Full job description

We are currently looking for a Housekeeper to join our friendly team at The Plume of Feathers in Sherborne.

The successful candidate would ideally have previous experience of working in a similar role in a hotel or B&B with similar high standards. Above all, you must have a good team ethic, be a perfectionist, enthusiastic, hard-working, professional, reliable, keen to learn and always trying to find a way to improve our B&B rooms and the customer’s enjoyment of the pub.

The Plume is situated in the heart of Sherborne with enviable views of The Abbey in a 15th century building which is full of character. We are well known for our food, Small Italian Plates, our wines and our cocktails. As well as this, we have 4 large B&B rooms which offer a great escape in combination with our pub / restaurant so we are near 100% capacity in the rooms.

We are offering a part-time job working working between 10-15 hours per week. The job would start at 9am in the morning and finish between midday and 2pm. The 7 days of the week are shared with another two housekeepers so you should expect to work 2 to 4 days of the week and work alternate weekends so there is great work-life balance. We are offering a competitive hourly rate, a share of the service charge, 28 days paid holiday per year, 50% off dining at The Plume with friends/family and a chance to work, learn and progress in your career with a great team in a highly respected pub/restaurant in a stunning part of the country.
