Job Overview

We are busy, thriving, popular hospitality venue with excellent reviews and an outstanding reputation.

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated, experienced Front of House Staff to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting customers, taking orders, and assisting with food and beverage service.

Experience in hospitality with barista skills is essential.

A passion for hospitality and a commitment to customer service and teamwork are essential for success in this position.

This is a flexible position with varying hours but you must have availability to work weekends.

The business is open between 9am and 4pm with shifts being between these hours.

Please note that we are a fast paced, busy, service centric business. This is an active role requiring focus and high standards of service even during our busiest times. Candidates must be confident, committed, positive and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all requests are noted.
  • Serve food and beverages in accordance with established standards of service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables and serving stations.
  • Handle customer inquiries and issues with grace, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control.
  • Uphold all health and safety regulations within the restaurant environment.

Experience

  • At least two years previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is required.
  • Barista trained - confident using a commercial coffee machine
  • Familiarity with food safety practices. Level 2 food hygiene certification preferable.
  • A strong ability to work as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, stay calm, focussed and prioritise tasks during busy shifts, as well as being able to adjust to less demanding shifts, forward plan and use initiative to complete jobs and tasks during this time.
