Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality or culinary establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant or hotel experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food production and service. The Assistant Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive team environment and ensuring operational excellence.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise the kitchen and front-of-house teams, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality services
  • Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Manage food production processes to maintain quality standards and efficiency
  • Coordinate daily operations, including staff scheduling and task delegation
  • Monitor customer service levels to guarantee guest satisfaction
  • Train and develop team members in culinary techniques, food safety, and service standards
  • Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control
  • Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and service areas
  • Handle customer queries or complaints professionally to ensure positive experiences
  • Collaborate with senior management on menu planning, promotional activities, and operational improvements

Requirements

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
  • Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
  • Excellent team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff
  • Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with culinary techniques and restaurant operations
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • A recognised qualification in hospitality management or culinary arts is advantageous
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences with a professional attitude

Pay: £40,000.00 per year
