Hotel General Assistant

Location: Llandudno Bay Hotel
Reporting to: General Manager / Duty Manager
Department: Multi-Department (Front of House, F&B, Housekeeping Support)

Role Overview

The Hotel General Assistant is a key operational role within the hotel, supporting all departments to ensure a smooth and high-quality guest experience.

This is a hands-on, flexible position suited to individuals who enjoy variety and are comfortable working across reception, food & beverage, and general hotel operations.

You will be expected to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining high standards throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities Front of House

  • Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner
  • Assist with check-ins and check-outs
  • Answer telephone and email enquiries
  • Handle guest requests efficiently and proactively
  • Maintain a strong presence at reception during busy periods

Food & Beverage

  • Assist with breakfast, bar, and restaurant service
  • Take orders and serve food and drinks
  • Set up and clear tables
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Support with functions and events as required

Housekeeping Support

  • Assist with room servicing during peak periods
  • Deliver linen, towels, and guest amenities
  • Report maintenance issues promptly
  • Ensure public areas are clean and presentable at all times

General Duties

  • Work flexibly across departments depending on business needs
  • Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Follow all health & safety and hygiene procedures
  • Maintain high standards of presentation and professionalism

What We’re Looking For

  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and willing to support multiple departments
  • Good communication skills
  • Previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred (but not essential)

Working Pattern

  • Shift-based role (including evenings and weekends)
