Full job description

Lighthouse Pools are the UK’s fastest growing distributor of market leading swimming pool equipment, to the trade.

Due to the rapid growth of both our product range and customer base we have an opening for a Aftersales Support Engineer, with strong electrical, refigeration and or swimming pool knowledge, to join our small team here in Plymouth.

The ideal candidate will have a good manner and be able to calmly identify customer requests and queries in an appropriate way.

Due to the nature of our products you must have a good grasp of electrics and electronics with an ability to understand technical equipment easily.

Our products include air source heat pumps, water treatment dosing systems, automatic swimming pool covers, amongst many other swimming pool equipment.

Within this role you will:

  • Organise and manage diagnostics and repairs of equipment, via phone and e-mail
  • Receive and enter customer technical enquiries utilizing internal IT systems.
  • Provide direct technical support to customers related to product performance.
  • Provide customer engineers with after sales technical support.
  • Repair and service returned items as needed.
  • Provide direction and assistance related to product offerings and applications.
  • Contribute to ongoing product development and continuous improvement.

Specific Responsibilities:

Diagnose product technical queries and failures through phone and online communications.

Schedule engineer service calls as required.

Manage outside engineers with regards to warranty claims.

Assist with all warranty admin.

Talk with customers by phone and via e-mail to discuss product applications

Communicate with customers by phone and e-mail to solve ordering, commercial or technical problems.

Maintain a safe, tidy and clean workspace.

Complete required paperwork.

Utilise information systems to determine customer order status.

Provide excellent customer service.

Help develop and deliver training to customers.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Understanding of electrics, electronics and IT systems.
  • Preferably have an understanding of heat pumps and or chemical dosing systems.
  • Good IT skills, both online and offline.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Being able to solve problems by following manuals and instructions.
  • Communicate in technical terms to uncover and solve problems to a variety of customers from engineers to end users.
  • Understand and use terminology used by the swimming pool industry.

Pay: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
