The Complete Works (TCW) is looking for a compassionate, resilient and proactive Student Welfare Officer to join our East School team.
This is a unique opportunity to support some of London's most vulnerable young people, helping them overcome barriers to education, improve their wellbeing and achieve positive outcomes. Working as part of our safeguarding and welfare team, you will build trusted relationships with students, families and professionals, ensuring young people receive the support they need to engage in education and thrive.
At TCW, we work with students who may have SEND, SEMH needs, school anxiety, behavioural difficulties, social care involvement or other complex circumstances. As a Student Welfare Officer, you will play a vital role in helping students feel safe, supported and ready to learn.
About the Role

This role involves building trusted relationships with students, families, and professionals to help remove barriers to education, improve wellbeing, and ensure positive outcomes in a safe and inclusive environment.
The ideal candidate is a resilient, proactive, and compassionate professional with experience in supporting young people and handling safeguarding responsibilities. Responsibilities include monitoring student attendance and engagement, coordinating interventions, liaising with external agencies like social services, and working collaboratively with teaching staff to foster student resilience and success.
We offer:
- A supportive and collaborative team environment.
- Extensive training and professional development opportunities.
- The opportunity to work creatively and flexibly with young people.
- A varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
- The chance to build meaningful relationships and see the impact of your work firsthand.
- A values-driven organisation committed to inclusion, creativity and excellence.
Most importantly, you will join a team that is passionate about helping young people overcome challenges and achieve successful futures.
Safeguarding
The Complete Works is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants will be required to undergo appropriate safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
Apply
If you are passionate about supporting young people, building positive relationships and making a genuine difference every day, we would love to hear from you.
