The Role

As Hotel Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and play a key role in ensuring every visitor receives a warm welcome and outstanding service throughout their stay.

This is a varied position that combines reception duties with guest service responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and manage check-ins and check-outs professionally and efficiently

  • Manage reservations, room allocations, and booking amendments
  • Coordinate restaurant, leisure, corporate, and event bookings with internal teams
  • Provide information about facilities, services, and local attractions
  • Answer telephone calls, take messages, and direct enquiries appropriately
  • Maintain a professional and organised reception area
  • Support administrative tasks as required
  • Work closely with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure an excellent guest experience
  • Assist within the hotel lounge and bar, including serving coffees, food, and beverages

Above all, we're looking for personality, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for customer service.

You'll be successful in this role if you have:

  • A warm, friendly, and professional approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to build rapport and trust with guests quickly
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence working in a busy, customer-facing environment
  • The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving
  • High personal standards and pride in delivering great service

Experience

  • Previous reception or hospitality experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Full training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Strong customer service experience from any customer-facing background will be considered

This role requires flexibility, including:
