Activities Coordinator (Part-Time)

£12.71–£13.11 per hour | Daytime Hours | North Tyneside

Do you love bringing people together and creating meaningful experiences?

We're a friendly, family-run 36-bed dementia care home looking for a caring and creative Activities Coordinator to enrich the lives of our residents through engaging, person-centred activities.

We're proud of our strong links with the local community, including schools, nurseries, entertainers and community groups. We're looking for someone who will build on these relationships, organise memorable in-house events, and bring fresh ideas to help residents stay connected with the world around them.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and deliver meaningful group and one-to-one activities.
  • Organise in-house events, themed days, celebrations and entertainment.
  • Arrange crafts, music, baking, games, reminiscence sessions and gentle exercise.
  • Develop community partnerships with local schools, and community groups to visit us
  • Organise resident outings and trips into the local community.
  • Help raise funds for the Residents' Fund through events and fundraising activities.
  • Encourage residents to stay active, engaged and socially connected.
  • Support residents at lunchtime and work closely with the care team to promote residents' wellbeing.

About You

  • Caring, creative and enthusiastic.
  • Passionate about improving the lives of older people, including those living with dementia.
  • Confident leading activities and building relationships.
  • Organised, proactive and able to work independently.
  • Experience in care, activities or a similar role is desirable but not essential.
