The Greyhound Inn is an independently-owned, downland village 18th Century pub close to the large and busy market town of Wantage in the Vale of White Horse, Oxfordshire. The owners launched the pub in 2015, re-opening after a year of significant renovation, as a great example of a proper village inn, with a high quality fresh food and drink offer and eight very comfortable bedrooms, providing a vibrant social hub for the local community and an attractive destination for visitors, from nearby and afar. The emphasis is on exceptional customer service and building good relationships with customers to ensure that this is the destination of choice for drinking, eating and sleeping.

You will ideally be experienced in working in a small hotel or bed and breakfast environment, have the ability to work quickly and still retain an eye for detail, ensuring that there is nothing for guests to complain about regarding the presentation of the room.

Requirements: physical mobility and stamina, ability to follow instructions, detail-oriented, professional attitude, ability to work independently.

The Role

Your responsibilities in preparation of the guest rooms will include: changing bedsheets and towels, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing supplies, cleaning all surfaces in both rooms and public areas. The job also includes keeping clean all downstairs public areas in the bar and restaurant as necessary. You will also be responsible for assisting in managing the stock rotation of linen and other supplies and keeping the storage areas clean, tidy, well organised and maintained. Full training and check lists will be provided to support you in performing to a high standard.

The Details
Part-time hours, mainly weekends from 9:30-3:30pm approx depending on how busy we are.

You may be required to work additional shifts as needed to cover days off and busy periods.

Fluent English is a must, as is eligibility to work and live in the UK.

Letcombe Regis is easily accessible on foot or bike from Wantage, however a car is an advantage, given the location. Free parking is available.
