Bartender / Dual-Role Front of House – Angel, LondonFull-time & Part-time | PermanentThis position requires previous professional bartending experience in a busy, quality-driven environment, alongside either proven table-service experience or a genuine willingness to learn the floor. You must already be confident mixing drinks, pouring wine, managing a busy bar section, and making guests feel genuinely looked after. This is not an entry-level hospitality position.Great hospitality is about much more than pouring a drink and delivering a plate.We're looking for a skilled bartender who understands the fundamentals of professional drink service—and, just as importantly, wants to bring that same energy to looking after our guests at their tables.Whether you are already an experienced all-rounder or a dedicated bartender looking to expand your skills onto the restaurant floor, you should already know how to manage a bar section, communicate with a kitchen, and recognize when a guest needs your attention.We can teach you Niche. • Prepare, pour, and serve cocktails, wine, beers, and coffees to a high standard
• Keep the bar clean, organized, fully stocked, and properly prepared
• Carry a loaded tray safely and confidently across a busy floor
• Carry and serve multiple plates professionally
• Clear tables correctly and discreetly
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using a restaurant EPOS system
• Manage the timing, organization, and pacing of your own tables
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen, bar, and other members of the team
• Maintain awareness of what's happening across the entire restaurant

But technical ability is only part of the job.
Service is transactional. Hospitality is personal. We're looking for someone who understands the difference.Good hospitality means being able to read people. Some guests want conversation and recommendations. Others want privacy. Some are nervous; some are celebrating; some are in a hurry to get to the theatre. A great team member adapts naturally.You should be someone who:

• Can make beverage and food recommendations rather than simply reciting the menu

For someone with a serious food allergy or coeliac disease, a team member who listens carefully, communicates clearly, and inspires confidence can completely change their experience of eating out.That's another reason why empathy matters so much to us.Your roleYou will work dynamically across both the bar and the restaurant floor depending on the needs of the shift. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the bar and restaurant for service (mis-en-place)
• Welcoming, seating, and looking after guests from arrival to departure
• Creating and serving excellent drinks, from classic serves to specialty cocktails
• Learning our food menu and drinks list thoroughly to make informed recommendations
• Managing your assigned tables and bar section throughout service
• Communicating dietary requirements and allergies with absolute accuracy to the kitchen
• Clearing, resetting, and maintaining tables and bar areas correctly
• Processing bills and payments accurately
• Helping create the warm, relaxed atmosphere Niche is known for

What we're looking forPrevious professional bartending experience is essential. While existing floor experience is a massive plus, a great attitude and a genuine willingness to learn table service is just as valuable.You should:

• Have solid professional bartending experience
• Have experience (or a strong desire to learn) professional table service and section management
• Have a genuine interest in food, drinks, restaurants, and hospitality
• Speak confident, fluent English
• Be reliable, punctual, and well-presented
• Have excellent attention to detail and work well as part of a small team
• Remain warm, composed, and professional during busy services
• Be willing to learn our menu and allergen procedures thoroughly
