Location: Family Run Care Home, Kennoway, Leven, Fife (Commutable from Cupar, Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience
Hours: 38.5hrs or 44hrs per week (optional)

**This is an exciting opportunity as we are switching this small 22 bedded residential care home into a nursing home and we are now looking to hire a full team of nurses! We have already achieved this successfully at our sister care home in Fife and looking for a team of wonderful nurses to help us on this new venture!

Our family-run care home in Kennoway, Leven, Fife, has been a pillar in the community for over 20 years. We are now looking for an experienced and dedicated Nurse to join our passionate team and take the lead in delivering outstanding nursing care.

Role Overview:
As Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical care and nursing practices within our home, ensuring the highest standards are consistently met. You will work closely with the Home Manager, providing leadership and guidance to the care teams. Your clinical expertise will be crucial in shaping the delivery of care and supporting residents’ health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage clinical nursing practice to ensure a high standard of care is provided to residents.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the care team to ensure the delivery of compassionate care.
  • Conduct regular assessments of residents’ healthcare needs and create individual care plans.
  • Administer and manage medications in accordance with legal requirements and care home policies.
  • Ensure that all clinical documentation is accurate, up to date, and in compliance with regulations.
  • Support staff training and development to foster a skilled, confident, and motivated team.
  • Act as a clinical role model, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Liaise with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care and make necessary improvements.
  • Take an active role in quality assurance, audits, and compliance with regulatory standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN) or (RMN) with a valid NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration.
  • Proven experience in a clinical leadership role within a care home or healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of care home regulations, quality standards, and health and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well with residents, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate, dedicated, and genuinely passionate about delivering person-centred care.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Previous experience in medication management and care planning is essential.
  • Leadership and team-building abilities, with a positive and supportive approach.
