Mile Oak Rest Home are looking for a Chef.

We are a small Care Home .

We would like to hear from those who can make a positive difference to others lives. Every day is different and brings joy and satisfaction to your lives and provide you with a sense of accomplishment.

All you need is experience in being a chef an excellent work ethic, compassionate, positive attitude towards elderly clients and a willingness to make a positive difference to their day to day lives. As well as experience in providing meals to those who have specific requirements linked to SALT assessments and dysphagia.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes following standard recipes
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring it meets the highest standards of taste and presentation
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the Home Manager to create new menu items
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times

Skills:
- Proven experience working in a professional kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant setting
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with care staff

Working Hours: 35 - 42

5 or 6 days per week

Weekend availability may be required and Holiday cover.
